When I Started:

How I Started:
I took a weightlifting class during my junior year of high school, thinking it would be a great way to meet guys. To my surprise, I found myself more interested in lifting weights than guys, so much that I continued lifting on my own even after the class was over- I was completely hooked!
Why I Love It:
I like working out because it makes me feel good about myself, I'm comfortable with how many body looks and feels. I've also seen a noticeable improvement in my physical conditioning, I feel more like an athlete now than I ever have before. I actually look forward to tackling new physical challenges like rock climbing and playing sports. I feel comfortable, even confident, enough to try competitive sports, even when I have to play against guys. I'm in the best shape of my life and I love it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like knowing that I'm doing something to stay in shape, I managed to avoid the dreaded freshman 15. I've also noticed I get more attention at the pool, that's motivating because I never thought something like that that could happen to me. Nothing is impossible if you are willing to work hard to achieve it.
BB Accomplishments:
I opened a jar for my roommate once, she was impressed.

This is my dance team picture taken right before I started working out. I weighed over 135 pounds and had a pretty high bf %, I really didn't like the way my body looked.
This was a recent picture of me taken at a puff football game, 3 years in the gym hasn't hurt my flexibility at all! I've lost over 10 pounds and my measured bf has dropped to below 20%. My strength has increased significantly and my conditioning has improved alot- I'm faster and more agile as...
I want a strong body that is functional as well as attractive.
Goal (Long):
My goal is to develop a well-conditioned body that is stronger and faster. I want to gain some additional upper body strength and my agility for tennis and increase my stamina and endurance for football- I pretty much want to be unstoppable! My long term goal is to reduce my body fat to 15% and achieve more defined muscles that feel as hard as they look - I want to look sexy and strong in my bikini!
I'm baaack! So, anyone miss me? I doubt it but that's ok. I'm sooo glad I took last month off but I'm all recuperated now so it's time to get back to it. I'm looking forward to lifting again, and lifting heavy, I'm planning to work all summer to achieve those those strength gains...
Being a student makes life pretty hectic but I find time to lift weights 4 or 5 times a week. I'm challenging myself this year by lifting heavier and working to failure by doing extra reps. I also do 4 cardio sessions a week as well, usually on the elliptical or the stairmaster, varying...
