New gym opened up, joined, kept going and going and going....I was always athletic but was never able to realize my full potential - I'm realizing now that my potential is limitless!
Why I Love It:
The feelings of confidence, sexiness, strength, power, energy and calm after an intense workout!
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading fitness/bodybuilding magazines/forums/books, seeing my own personal progress, seeing others' progress, and hanging with my FIFs (Friends-in-Fitness)!!
BB Accomplishments:
Having my personal trainer tell me I'm his strongest female client and that he loves training athletes like me!! Me? An "athlete"?? Who'd have thunk it? :)

At Sandals for wedding. Had not exercised in years!
Genetically, I'm blessed with a mesomorphic physique, which means that while I can and do build muscle at a pretty good clip, I can also add fat without a lot of "trying" :) While I don't think that competition is in my nature, I want to have the healthiest and fittest body I've ever had - for me. I want to be satisfied when I look in the mirror or when I step out the door that I've worked as hard as I can to achieve the physique that is mine, and that I can be proud of! Ideally, I would like to maintain between 15-17% bodyfat levels, and weigh in at about 140 lbs. I know that I can do it, but do I want it bad enough?
WOW! This morning started out with an awesome leg workout and I feel the DOMS setting in - LOVE IT! Walking lunges are, without a doubt, the best, most effective compound exercise I do. I can squat and deadlift till I'm blue in the face, but if I don't do my walking lunges - no DOMS,...
Well, brouse through my blogs when you have lots of time. Actually, a few of them muse on priorities & trying to stay positive (see my 10/13 post). I'm all for making time for w/o's (for me, M-F mornings b4 work) & eating clean. But you'll see that some folks obsess over it. Hey, life's too short for that. Gotta lighten up some. Have a great w/e! :-)
Brooke, glad to hear your day got bettr after your blog. You've made great progress to this fellow member of the > 40 club. It's funny how our moods can go through such wild pendulum swings. Good luck on that Keto diet. :-)
Thank you for the kind words on my blog. Pam did have a great idea & one I can probably do too! Nice too meet ya, don't be a stranger, I'm going to try & be on BB.com more often.
