How I Started:
I have always been athletic so pin pointing an exact date is out of the question for me. However, I did take a LONG break apart from running and lifting weights (3 years) but I didn't lose much tone or definition because most of it is heredity. I started working out again in January 2008 however from my pics some would say I have been working out longer. It was a good stress reliever and I was tired of just sitting around not doing anything. My stomach was still flat but my abdominals had really lost a lot of definition and I didn't want to end up like a lot of people...gettting really fat and remembering when they were once skinny and fit. So as motivation I decided to enter a Hard Body competition and I have been training for Hard Body competitions ever since.
Why I Love It:
I love the results and I love how I feel after a hard workout. Yes I will whine and groan when doing certain exercises but the job gets done and at the end of the day I am more than satisfied. I think now I am starting to groan about cardio more than lifting weights!
How I Stay Motivated:
The fact that God has even blessed me to be healthy enough and in a position to do this keeps me motivated. Having a companion who believes in me more than I believe in myself. My desire to not let myself become another unhealthy statistic as well as my desire to suceed in bodybuilding and fitness.

Goal (Long):
Hmmm. No real goal...I am restricted to absolutely not working out for eight weeks. The great thing is I am back at home so I get to enjoy five of those weeks relaxing, recouprating and satisfying a few food cravings I had in Iraq. One thing I do know...cardio is going to HURT when I am able to work out again and my workout partner is going to kill me with the weights! Maybe I can use this time to put on some weight in a healthy way!
15 reps and four sets. When my supervisor started training me I was doing somewhat heavy weight so he started me out of three sets of 15.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Maybe a minute or two. I just rest long enough to let the burn ease up and then hit the weights again.
