How I Started: My older brother told me when I was going into 7th grade that I should start lifting. He knew a kid that had gotten huge by starting out and never giving up. I didn't really take his advice and I seriously regret it. I lifted during weights class in high school but nothing real intense. After high school I read a book called "Making the Game" by HHH. That kind of got me going. When I transferred back home for college I got a job at GNC and started to work with a guy that was as into lifting as I was. That really got me motivated and that's how I got here.
Why I Love It: It gives you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that you are working hard towards something and seeing yourself improve along the way. You're fighting for something better and not settling with the mediocre.
How I Stay Motivated: Setting goals and watching progress.

Goal (Short): I want to weigh in at 175 lbs. by summer '09.
Goal (Long): I want to gain up to 70 lbs. of muscle. I want to do it the right way and set small goals along the way. I've always looked up to the Superstars in the WWE and I just want to get big and get ripped like them.

Have a good solid reason for doing it. Have a reason that gets you fired up and wanting to go back out there week after week and year after year.

So yesterday I got my bench up to 200 for the first time ever.  That was always my weakest lift throughout high school.  I'm not bragging about 200 cuz it's no where near what I want it at but it still feels good to finally see results like that.  Throughout high school I don't think it ever...
