My high school basketball coach thought I could improve my game by adding some strength and muscle mass. I was a scrawny, but athletic 135. Might have been a mistake on his part, by my senior year I quit basketball and began bodybuilding.
Why I Love It:
I always say that it's hard to explain a true passion. When you possess a genuine passion for something, it tends to be difficult to explain why. With that being said - I'm not sure why I love working out/staying in shape/bodybuilding so much. I'll try to come up with a better answer.
How I Stay Motivated:
By not overtraining, dieting myself to death, and driving my body (and motivational drive) into the ground! As I said earlier, a passion for this lifestyle resides deep within, so I just listen to my body and make an effort to NOT snuff out the flame.
BB Accomplishments:
*1997 Junior Olympic Games – Gold Medal
*1999 Superbody World Championships (televised) – 2nd place Junior division
*2001 SNBF National Championships – 4th place (was invited back to guest pose)
*In almost 10 years of competing, I placed below 2nd only twice.

The weather was beautiful, but it was considerably hotter than usual.
Here's the broad strokes . . .

thanks for the add, brother. Im a big wedding crasher's fan. See if you think this if funny: I was at a movie with my youngest son, who was 8 at the time, and a preview for wedding crasher's came on. the scene with V. Vaughn and the girl on the beach played--they both sit up & she says "I knew my 1st time would be the best" My son looks up at me & says--can you believe it, that girl's never been to a beach before. LOL! the innocence of youth.
