I had to install a 1 inch plenum spacer in order to clear those tall valve covers. Also, I should have bought the aluminum version which is alot lighter but more expensive. Yes, I am using an Edelbrock RPM EFI intake with a 65mm T-body. I should use the 70mm T-body but been lazy to swap out. Trying to hit the drag strip but been rainy here in the eastcoast-NJ...

I hope you're kidding launching at 2nd gear. Did you open up your upper intake throttle opening to 70mm to match your 70mm T-body? If not I think you are creating some turbulence but should work nicely with your new future intake. Icing intake works as well as pushing the car in the staging lanes to not heatsoak the motor. Try 14 degrees and see if she picks up. In the street my timing is at 12 and at the track 17. Speed is addicting amigo...

Did you try icing the intake? I also hope you are using K&N air filter instead of the stock paper filter. Did you remove the air silencer out of the stock airbox? You did pretty good considering the high heat. 13's is in the bag once get traction...

Trap speed 98 mph indicates alot of potential yet untapped. Did you use slicks mounted on ten holes? You really need traction at the track. Your car should run easy 13s as soon as you get that 60ft down. I haven't gone to track for 2 years. Finally fixed electrical gremlin and now am *Amped* up to go...
