I got started in bodybuilding to supplement my athletic career, for the healthful benefits and to enhance my social status by looking buff and handsome.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding.com provides an enormous amount of beneficial training information. At the home page here, I refer the Supersite link and then access both the EXERCISES and WORKOUTS links (you can also get there from the Store link above).
How I Stay Motivated:
I've become addicted to exercise! That in itself is a primary motivation. Knowing the benefits derived from training is another motivation.
BB Accomplishments:
Hold BACHELOR OF SCIENCE degree earned in 1998 (Depths: Psychology and Physical Education)... Profile HERE featured on the Bodyspace home page for placing in the top 6 for men for hits ("visits") during a previous 24 hour period. This happening on numerous occasions during 2nd half of 2007... Competed in Sheraton's "Best Body On The Beach" contest in Ocean City, MD.; Veteran of U.S. Navy and Persian Gulf War; preparing with bodybuilding and fitness, became a U.S. Navy Surface Rescue Swimmer (held Gunner's Mate- Guns petty officer rating) with a homeport in San Diego, CA.; earned "Ironman" honors for every PT exam performed while serving in the military for athletic excellence; held additional responsibility of military instructor for mandatory fitness training of troops; San Diego U.S. Navy base "Swimmer of the Month" for December 94;' competed in intercollegiate Army ROTC Ranger Challenge; intercollegiate swimmer- best finishes included 4th in 400 yard IM, 5th 200 yard Fly and 6th 200 yard IM at conference finals; interscholastic (high school) basketball player; played college freshman team basketball; college club team basketball; high school Sportsman of the Year; youth league basketball MVP; personal experience from weightlifting aided in my swim coaching endeavors which included at the intercollegiate, world class and high school ranks; former ocean beach lifeguard and crew chief (performed 206 ocean surf victim rescues)- competed in USLA lifeguard regionals (placing in Beach Flags) and at USLA lifeguard nationals; competed in masters swimming state finals, regionals and nationals- 1st place in individual events for 200 yard Breaststroke for age group at 96' Arizona State SC Championships and in 800 meter free for both 93' and 94' SPMA LC Regional Championships (at Mission Viejo, CA.); qualified for and competed in U.S. Swimming (USS) competition; played ice hockey, baseball, softball, water polo and soccer; have competed in several 10K runs; former bouncer for rock concerts (world famous groups) and at WWF wrestling matches.
