I finally realized that the big stud I thought I was had become the fat guy in the pictures. I had gotten down to 195 last August, then diet went south and the weight went north, but only 12 lbs. or so. Kept working, but just to maintain weight. Then I came to my senses and thought, "Why come so close just to maintain?" At that point I knew I was going to go all the way. I've now dropped just over 100 lbs. and passed my long term BF goal of 10%. Once I hit that, I wasn't be satisfied, so I went to 7%. Going to strip it down to 6% after a mini-bulk.
Why I Love It:
This is weird, but I actually like to be a little sore, it makes me feel alive and a sense of accomplishment.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like to challenge myself. I like to prove even myself wrong when I think I cannot do something.
"Do or do not, there is no try" -Yoda
"Losers always whine about trying their best. Winners go home and f**k the prom queen." - John Mason (Sean Connery in The Rock)
BB Accomplishments:
I have lost over 100 lbs.
Voted Hottest Guy at my home gym in the basement 4 years running!

I was at least 288 lbs. maybe more. Didn't weigh myself too much in those days.
Still have 3.5 of 5 lb. mini-bulk. Hoping to get much leaner.
Eating Peanut Butter that is. I am totally addicted to the stuff. If I could limit myself to two spoonfulls a day, I'd be okay. Two usually becomes 4. On weekends, I destroy pb. I must learn to live without pb. This is my shame and my burden to bear...
Once per week for 4 weeks, then change to another program.
3 sets per exercise, supersets, no rest between exercises, 60 seconds rest between sets. Complete all 3 sets before moving to the next superset.
Superset 1:
Lying DB /triceps extension 3 sets 8 reps
Standing EZ bar Curl ...
It seems to be going well. My diet keeps getting simpler and cleaner these last ten days. I'm going to check out The Eat Clean Diet at the bookstore next time I go.
Daaamn! I love your new pic. You are a sexy guy. No wonder you have the girls lined up lately. Good work on the leanness. What are you eating these days?
Thanks for asking... training hasn't been too easy to work in. I started Grad School last Monday... and on Tuesday, I was playing around with my 6 mo. old Lab and sustained a high ankle sprain.
Still watching what I eat and moving the scale downward. 110 lbs as of Tuesday.
thanks so much for your encouragement - You really know how to motivate.
You've really come a long way!
That makes my goals seem less unreasonable, too.
Good luck as you continue on your fitness journey, and congratulations on your many accomplishments!
Oh wow! Those are so cool. Why you been hiding those? They show all of your hard work. You shouldn't be ashamed of where you've been or where you are today. It's part of life that shapes us :0) By the way...you've always been handsome.
