After 5 years of college and earning a teaching license, I got a position in a German club called Turners of South Bend. I was responsible for running an indoor soccer complex. From there I traveled to North Carolina and accepted a job in a Health Club in the mountains of Asheville. It was a combination of building relationships and working people out. I realized fitness and working out could be more than a hobby to me, it would be my career choice.
Why I Love It:
The stress release and meeting people who have similar lifestyle habits as mine. I love running to find out where a path leads to, or what is around the next corner. A treadmill gets old fast.
How I Stay Motivated:
That's tough....I need to join a running club. ALL RUNNER'S SEND ME SOME MOTIVATION!!
BB Accomplishments:
Running 5K and 10k races. My first half marathon was completed in 1 hour and 58 minutes.

This is my first attempt of showing some kind of success. Please feel free to offer suggestions.
Hi, you are welcome, Let me share my thoughts with you.
Everything that comes into your life comes in for a reason. It is important to not create any resistance towards what ever it me be. Let it flow and be in alignment with what the universe has planned for you.
Create an awesome day

Running is going really well. Six weeks to go before the marathon on December 7. On Tuesday I had a very intense interval workout (2 x (2 miles, 1 mile, 800 meters) = 7 fast miles). I'm running a 30K in 10 days and a 10K on Thanksgiving morning as a prelude to the marathon. How's your running going? Any races coming up?
The flu...crappy! First take it easy, your body is trying to recover. But just make get in there and get active and you know you will feel better. No excuses is my philosophy! SO GET YOUR A** IN THERE MAN!
Hi, I am between 25 and 32 miles a week right now. I just finished my first 10K, so now I want to train for a half marathon. Besides running I try to do some form of cardio everyday, stairmill, elliptical or spinning. What does your training look like?
Sorry you're under the weather. If you have the flu it's probably best to take it easy. Sometimes if I just have a cold and it's not too bad I keep exercising; I find it doesn't really worsen or prolong the cold and I can avoid getting too far out of shape.
i tried to incorporate the eliptical, it def got me wanting to run again.. i just didnt get a good workout from it. now the stair mill... thats another story!
no problem Matt! I enjoy running. I actually enjoy it now! lol wierd huh? But we need to schedule a time to go run again. We can compete, make each other better! Have a good workout!
I finished my 5K in 20:04, beating my PR by 24 seconds but missing my goal of 20 minutes by just 4 seconds. Placed 21st out of 320 overall. I was pleased but a bit disappointed I couldn't push just a bit harder at the end and get under 20 minutes. Glad the running is going well. Keep it up!
