Began running cross country the summer before my senior year of high school. I eventually injured my knee and decided to join Gold's to be able to stay in shape at a low impact to my joints!
Why I Love It:
I love the energy I have all day long when I work out, and I love seeing changes in muscle tone. I feel healthier and stronger when I stick to my workout plan, not tired and lazy.
How I Stay Motivated:
I read a lot of fashion and fitness magazines... there are a lot of in shape women to motivate me!! I realize there is a huge difference between being skinny and being healthy.
BB Accomplishments:
Being able to bench more than just the bar?? But really, learning that resistance training is more important for my goals than spending a few hours on a treadmill. I've learned to look forward to my resistance training (even if it means I have to be around all the stinky boys!

I have always been thin but I have recently become skinny fat (YUCK)! I want to transform the composition of my body without drastically changing the appearance. I'm at 24% body fat and am wanting to get down to 18%, and be able to get through resistance training without feeling embarrassed for being such a wimp! I also want to eat healthier and not have it feel like a chore. Last, I want people to not say I'm thin but say I work out/am in shape. I am very busy with both school and work, and don't often have time to eat healthy, so this is a big goal for me. I want to start living the lifestyle I would need to live if I had a much slower metabolism. I hope to do this by the New Year!!
I have been doing really great at the gym lately, and my eating habits have improved a lot! I'm enjoying all the changes, and have Bodybuilding.com to thank! I was on a path that was not healthy and was down and out quite a bit. I didn't even like getting dressed up/shopping anymore-...
Haha! Sounds amazing! I am hoping to find one I can glue some pine cones on as well as other ornamental arrangements, haha! We should definitely hit the thrift store!! You should send out a couple reminders this week to generate some excitement about the contest!!
