When I Started: Oct, 1990
How I Started: In university, I started lifting weights to improve my racquetball game. Before fulfilling this mandatory P.E. requirement (racquetball class), I did not participate in any sports.
Why I Love It: Management of Stress. Since diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis, 10 yrs. ago, it is imperative that I avoid/manage stessful situations to mitigate any potential adverse effects manifested upon my body.
How I Stay Motivated: Look in the mirror --- I see evidence of success with my personal challenges (physical and mental) to myself.

X Ray Shorts - 2 weeks after injury 30 Days Post-Op of Right ACL
This was taken at the Orthopedic Sports and Medicine. This was the day it was determinged I needed ACL reconstruction. Good news - my bones were just fine.  I can bend the brace completely at allowed 90-degrees. 30 Days have past, 1/2 way to FULL recovery...

Goal (Long): My goal is to attain IFBB Pro Figure status. My first milestone to this goal is top 5 placing at National NPC Figure competition. Unfortunately, this milestone was not realized 9/16/06 as planned at the North American competition. I injured my knee (torn ACL) 2 days before check in. My "Short, Short Term" goal is to Rehabilitate my Knee - Stronger & Better.
Weight Goal: I want to GAIN 4 lb
Bodyfat Goal: 8%
Upcoming Contest: TBD - smthg AFTER new RIGHT ACL is healed...

It's not worth it.  I speak only from MY experience(s).  Regarding the said topic, I have been on both sides of the fence.  Unlike most females, I am often the aggressor.  Like most females, I am not as physically strong...
