After experiencing death and illness associated with lifestyle choices of those close to us, We decided to take charge of our destiny. After over 20 years of marriage, we came to realize that life should be treasured and experienced to the fullest. We decided to begin living healthful lifestyles in order to negotiate life's journey in comfort, vigor and confidence.
Why I Love It:
Working out and bodybuilding require determination, discipline and an internal drive you alone are responsible for. The ability to push oneself beyond what is comfortable strengthens not only ones body, but your charactor as well. Striving for positive change in bodybuilding leads to similar successes in everyday life. We love encouraging eachother and being partner personal trainers.
How I Stay Motivated:
The process of bodybuilding is self inspiring. The battles, victories and even the infrequent setbacks are true tests of ones fortitude. The challenge of continued progress keeps you alive, not only physically, but mentally as well. Competing in contests inspires further progress as you are forced to peak in your best condition possible. With both of us involved in healthful lifestyles, we find ourselves striving to inspire one another to new levels of success.

This is an embarassing starting point, even though I had been training hard for 2.5 years and eating clean. I was bloated with soaring body fat, yet strong. This is what happens when you leave a CAREFUL diet out of the training equation and allow body fat to accumulate from a magazine mass...
Good to hear your feeling so good about things. Unfortunately, I got the flu over the Holiday and dropped 15 lbs (couldn't stomach any food) and got back to the gym yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks. Now it's time to just get back to where I was...oh well. Looking forward to E-cup. We are planning on being there to root Julie on. Take it easy. mark
Hi guys. I too hope you had a good Holiday season. We enjoyed spending much of the time with my daughter, Ronda's son and my parents. It was an enjoyable time for us. Hope you're staying healthy and making gains. Talk to you soon. mark
Hey Big Rob! Training is going great! Knock on wood, no aces and pains...well just good pain! Hope you and Julie have a great holiday. Any plans for your nex comp??
Train hard,
Luke
Weekend was fun, Thanks. Hope you two had a great time also!! Prep going ok. Had to take a feew days off for a business trip to Salt Lake. Don't like missing work outs!! Will hit it hard this week to make it up!!
Hey Rob, Things are coming along just fine. My weight fluctuates between 218 and 222 and I feel fat. As much as I hope some of it is muscle, I am sure when I get cut back to competition shape I'll only be 2 lbs heavier than before. I like your plan. I too am going to do some later shows in hopes of gaining that little extra. Take it easy guys. Mark
I am doing okay. The Ironman was so dissapointing for me. (or should I say I dissapointed me) but I am going to Vancouver, hopefully the pros won't and i will feel a little better about my natural abilty. You guys are amazing. Thanks for keeping in touch. Happy Holidays.
