I was tired of the constant battle with my weight and food restrictions. I had turned 40 and I figured if I don't make changes now I will continue to go downhill. What I was doing was not working. I wanted to look muscular and fit. I knew that the only way for me to change my body was to be willing to make changes and let go of old patterns and behaviours. My workouts and food-plan took on a whole new meaning for me. I never looked back and I am able to continue to improve on my health and body one workout and one meal at a time.
Why I Love It:
It's a constant work in progress...you are never finished. It keeps me motivated to be the best I can be! There is always someone outthere who looks better than me and that keeps me "hungry" for more and on my "toes". I never take my physique for granted because I know how quickly I could loose it...just a few weeks of going crazy with "food" would cause major damage and set me back. Never again!!!
How I Stay Motivated:
Remembering how lousy and miserable I felt before I started taking my workouts and food serious! I don't miss that dreadful "heavy" feeling when I wake up in the morning one second.

Felt horrible inside and out...I made up my mind that day that I was going to get in the best shape of my life. I had enough of always just "talking" about getting super fit!
Kewl...Thanks so much. I've added upper rows with cables (elbows out)and those have helped build upper back and rear delts quite a bit. I need more rear delt work...no question. Yes...definitely to cold to hit the outdoors for cardio so I am indoors for now....yuck!! We need another trip to SoCal!

Good Morning Uschi! :) You are way too kind hon, but thanks!! I know exactly what you are feeling with the mass gaining...it is a hard thing for me to deal with too but like you said it must be done! That is an amazing looking back shot you have up...I'm in awe! Hope you have a great day! :)
I definitely need hand holding with the food, any tips would be appreciated. Gonna try to eat sweet potatoes even though I don't like them, got any ideas on those? Have a good one today Uschi!
Well I too am trying to keep it clean on the eating, it is quite a struggle though. I am hitting my chest/tris today and of course running. Are you and Candace still training?
Legs day for me, too-cannot wait! No word on Hal-my only source of info was out of the gym yesterday. I've tried to call several times but his phone just goes to VM...ughhhh.
Morning Champ! Gosh-I love that pic of your back-WOW! Kids go back to school today & the new year has brought me many clients & I'm almost to capacity-I love it!
