How I Started: November 20th, 2007 was the day I decided to change my life. That morning I was looking in the mirror at myself and I was disgusted with what I was seeing. I was ashamed that I had let myself get to being nearly 300 pounds. I was ashamed that I had become a person that is living a unhealthy lifestyle

Ok, that is partially true. However, here is the real reason. I was trying to talk to this girl at the time. She said to me point blank, "You can't be serious. You're way too (colorful metaphor) fat to be even seen out in public with me."

Needless to say I was devastated. It was like a switch that was buried deep down inside the pit of my belly turned on. That I promised myself that I will:

*Never again will I be fat.
*Never again will anyone make snap judgments on my looks, either good or bad.
*Never again will I let myself down and fail the most important person, myself.

This is the code that I live by every single day. Each time I get lazy and try to make excuses to not go work out. I think about those three commandments.

It's not going to happen. Not now, not never. I will not lose… Ever.
Why I Love It: I enjoy working out, because I like the results I see. Unlike most things in life. You can see results the same day.
How I Stay Motivated: I stay motivated by looking at the progress I've made over the last 11 months.

I also enjoy looking at the great BodySpace profiles. If I can spark motivation in just one person, I believe my mission is complete.

Here I am. I got a little something but there is way too much fat. Anyway, that is going to change. For now, eww.  This is one year of very hard work. I can't wait to see what 2 years will bring. My weight is around 200-201 right now.

Thnx, bro. Leaning out some, just not in stomach/ab area. Know it's the diet, too, which is better at least M-F. New ab machine at gym gives a better workout; guess I need to do more of that too. Shooting for at least 38 jeans! Keep up the great work!

No, I wish that it were me..meaning, I wish that I could have lost all of my fat by now like you have done. I am making progress, it is just slower then I want it to be. Got to be more consistant with the diet you know.

Hopefully I will be able to add some this weekend. Not much has really changed with me so there is no real progress to speak of. My goal was to lose 8 pounds by the 15th of this month and that seems to be attainable....I will update my weight in the morning to see how close I am to that.
